All Cardiosport heart rate monitors measure heart rate with Electro-Cardiogram (E.C.G.) . Sensors in the transmitter band worn around the chest capture the E.C.G. signals from the heart, which are then sent to the receiver on the wrist, or a remote unit.

The new integrated transmitter band has a battery hatch allowing the battery to be quickly and easily changed by the user. All Cardiosport transmitters and wrist worn receivers are water resistant.
